Poor Man\'s Heli

Saw this over at TetonAT awhile back, and as any new life saving tool is worth re-posting I’m posting here.  What’s nice about this airbag pack is that it’s MSRP is ‘only’ $499, a relative bargain when you look at the price of competitive offerings that are north of $1k.  And while no tool is a replacement for proper backcountry route selection, I can only imagine it’ll be a matter of time before these become part of the current standard trifecta of beacon/probe/shovel.
