This one is a few days overdue, but I was busy so never got around to doing it well. Instead just this quick chickenscratch version of a photochop. Yeah yeah, I could have taken the 10 extra minutes to do some layer masking and whatnot, but I didn’t, you still get the picture.
This kid is talented, buuuutt….

Cadel is riding STRONG this year and his team is looking good as well. Am I the only one (my guess is yes…) that sees the below similarity though everytime they interview him?

aka even the sun shines on a dog’s ass some days. And yes, that leash really kills the beauty of the pic, I swear it was just used to lasso the whales.

and I’m not real sure what the story is with one

A couple quickly edited shots from the weekend. Shooting high speed activities in horribly lit indoor arenas made me crave a camera body that’s less than 6 years old and NOT a crop as my 50/1.4 would have given me a bit more of the action in the frame. You’ll notice they are all a bit desaturated, tried to hide some of the pixel noise. I think a 17-40L, or maybe just 30something prime, on a non-crop body would be the best one lens quiver for shooting ringside. Meh, whatever, I suck, on to the pics.

Had an idea for a shot and just missed it here. Was hoping to get a clinch battle in the corner and get both of their faces in. So close yet so far. Next time....
And on Sunday was able to get out and do something for myself

Saw this one at Northwest Snowboards in Tacoma.

Best graphic ever? I think so.

“The view we enjoyed from the summit could hardly be surpassed in sublimity and grandeur; but one feels so high from home so high in the sky, so much so that one is inclined to guess that, apart from the acquisition of knowledge and the exhilaration of climbing, more pleasure is to be found at the foot of mountains than on their frozen tops. Doubly happy, however, is the man whom lofty mountain-tops are within reach, for the lights that shine their illuminate all that lies below.” – John Muir

She’s getting there. The tip (just the tip) is still ridiculously sensitive, I think the nerves in there still aren’t sure what happened.

First, lets get it out of the way. Nice carpet, I know.
Next up, I’m not a doctor, but I’m going to have to say that based on my rigorous observation of my finger out of it’s temporary habitat that it is indeed growing back together and a skin graft will be unnecessary. Was seriously tripping when they told me that may be needed at the doc’s office, especially since in my old age I seem to heal for shit anymore, but I think she’s lookin’ good!
Just the tip, just to see how it feels...
